We are delighted to announce that from March 11th Jennifer Nolan will take up the position of Senior Speech & Language Therapist at Rainbow club . She is registered with CORU (SL 009259) and member of Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists. She has a BSc (Hons) degree in Speech and Language Therapy from UCC and has been working in the area of SLT almost 8 years. She has been in private practice (including work in Rainbow Club privately) since 2015 and regularly attend CPD courses. We are delighted that she is joining our team and will be a valuable asset to us in supporting families every day.

Irelands fittest Family the " Heffernans"
won €10,000 for Rainbow Club and it was indeed the most nerve wrecking episode we all ever watched ! A huge thank you to them as a family for the hard work and commitment they showed in the episode and tasks they went through to win. Derval O Rourke Coach was a great motivator and our thanks to her also for her hard work with Marion , Rob, Cathal & Megan ….. " Super Hero's " was one of the many titles they received from children at club.

Cottage Café Official Launch
We have been working hard getting the Cottage Community Café off the ground and it's great to see that we already have our regulars. Last we had our official launch and we also opened the club to the public to showcase what we do here. Thanks to all who made it happen and for your on-going support to our cute and cosy community café. Check out some of the pics on the day.
We launched our New Mini Bus appeal with the help of Tesco of the local Tesco stores in Cork. The launch itself took place in the Mahon Point store with some of our Rainbow Club helpers in attendance. It was a lovely day and we're excited to be part of this on-going partnership. Don't forget those blue tokens for the next 8 weeks - as Tesco says - 'every little helps'!
ESB ENERGY for Generations has supported us this year with Funding towards Early Years Play Therapy in Autism and Processing differences. This will also give us the opportunity to role out training to our many volunteers and staff. This support has been an amazing start to giving the many children in need of it availability of it here at club.

Our flag days got underway at Scallys Supervalu Blackrock & Quish's Supervalu Ballincollig. Huge thanks to the stores for their support, the people who donated and to everyone who came out on the days to lend a hand and give their precious time with this. Special thanks to Majella McGee who coordinated it.
Following the Lord Mayors Charity Spring Ball - all recipients attending the checque presentation. It was such a great night and we weredelighted to be considered and to be a recipient.
Another charity partner has just come on board for the year - all 27 branches of AIB Cork & County will support The Rainbow Club this year. It got off to a speedy start today 10/04 with a spinathon
Vintage Carshow Cork International Hotel
Thanks to all who came and supported us at the Vintage Carshow at the Cork International Hotel on April 7th - it was a great day out for young and not-so-young. The team really came together and helped us raise €7500 for the club. Here are some of the highlights.
Dress to Impress at Carrigaline Court Hotel
Major gratitude to Nessa O'Connell, Hannah Colbert and all the wonderful ladies who helped out at this event who held a fantastic charity dress sale 'Dress to Impress' at Mahon Community Centre and raised 2,458.50 for the club. The Weather on the day didn't deter ladies from coming to do some shopping for bargains. This will be an annual event each year !

The Rainbow Club Cork Centre for Autism, its members, families and supporters were out in force this St. Patricks Day 2019 - what a glorious day we had for it. We had new and old faces with us and the group gets bigger by the year. Thank you to all who came out,walked with us and cheered us on.
